    Target Audience: Ages 8-11

    Curricular Goals:  Provide introduction/overview for students with little to no musical knowledge. Build skills—sequencing, recounting musical narratives, ask and answer questions about information from a speaker, offering discussion, appropriate elaboration and detail.

Featured Instructors

Jessie has been studying violin for fourteen years.  A native of Oklahoma, she has played in honor orchestras, ensembles, and has participated in many summer music festivals.  She is currently a senior at Meredith College studying music performance under the instruction of Carol Chung.  She is also a participating member of Raleigh Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Jim Waddelow.  She teaches beginning through intermediate students using the Suzuki Method along with various traditional techniques.  After finishing her undergraduate studies she plans to continue her studies at the graduate level.
